Safety belt lock takes an insertion tongue in a housing fitted with insertion path and built-in sprung ejector, using a bolt to engage a slot in the tongue to hold this in until released by a two-part spring loaded slide within the housing. A spring between the slide. feeler and feeler panel acts as a sensor spring so that in acceleration the panel is held in its ejected setting. When the feeler is operated by hand, the relative movement between this and the panel is converted into the actuation movement for the lock. In acceleration, feeler and panel (26) can slide into the housing in the opening direction, without releasing the bolt (18,22), or operating the feeler panel (26). Pref. panel feeler slide and sensor spring form a single plastics assembly in which feeler panel and sensor spring (28) are joined to slide and panel by film hinges. - |
