In order to facilitate the installation, on a container (16), of an aerosol-delivering valve (10) fitted with a plunger tube (18), a device comprises a passage (2) for guiding the valve (10). A second passage (8) is connected to the first passage (2) via an opening (12) in its wall. Jaws (6) for retaining the valve (10), through which the plunger tube (18) may be engaged, are arranged at the lower end of the guide passage (2). While the device is being used, the valve (10) and its plunger tube (18) are inserted by means of an air jet into the second passage (8) and directed through the opening (12) into the guide passage (2). The opening (12) is then closed and the valve drops in the passage (2) onto the closed retention jaws (6). The retention jaws (6) are then opened and release the valve (10) so as to deposit it on the container (16). <IMAGE>
