<p>The film edge is printed with data by a set of LED (9, 10) whose light is guided to the film by optic fibres (9, 10). The data is written on both sides of the film between the sprocket holes. It enables the data to be read off and processed by computer when the film is developed and projected. The system can also be used to operate acoustic and optic effects simultaneously with the projection, as well as simplifying the editing and frame search. The signals (5, 6) do not necessarily operate at the same time. The side band (6) which solely serves for the fed information is independent of the point form signal (5) which shows the length of an occurrence.</p> |
