The governor for e.g. a fuel pump has a cylindrical casing (2) with two end faces (2b) between which two axial shafts (9) run near the circumference of the casing. These carry two bodies (10) of density less than that of the liq. in the casing. A CENTRAL SHAFT (4) CARRIES A HUB (3) WITH PROJECTING BLADES WHICH REVOLVE WITHIN THE CASING. Each outer shaft (9) has a pin (31) outside the casing which carries a crank (32). The other end of the crank is pinned to a link (38) which has a further crank (47) at its opposite end. This crank is pivotted to a lug (52) on a hub (63) mounted on the main shaft (4).
