The umbrella has a stem fixed to a handle, and which supports at the other end a bar with flexible ribs evenly spaced round the stem. The ribs pivot on a hub under the action of struts fixed to a slide working on the stem. It has two stems (11) each supported at one end at the handle, and unfolding from a position parallel to each other into a V-shape. Each bar has a rib hub (15) with ribs (16), and there is a common tensioning device (14) to hold the umbrella in the unfolded position. A support piece (25) can be fixed to the handle (12), having a slot-shaped recess in the expansion plane. The stems pivot at the base of the support piece, which has stops to limit their movement.
