PURPOSE: To provide a simplified structure for the filtering unit of a radiation device. CONSTITUTION: The radiation device has a radiation source and a filtering unit 1 provided in the path of radiation. The filtering unit 1 includes two transparent filter plates 5 and 6 on planes which are virtually parallel to each other. These plates 5 and 6 are held at their periphery in frames 3 and 4 which are made of a material having good thermal conductivity. The filter plates 5 and 6 and the frames form a closed space 9, wherein a medium is provided which selectively adjusts the radiation spectrum. In the filtering unit 1 the frames 3 and 4 are divided into a half frames 3 and 4 which virtually cross the axis 2 of the filtering unit 1. The plate 5 is positioned in the half frame 3 on one opposing side of the space 9 and the filter plate 6 is positioned in the half frame 4 on the other opposing side of the space 9. |
