PURPOSE:To recover resorcin from high-boiling by-product of acid-decomposition of m-diisopropyobenzene hydroperoxide, by decomposing the high-boiling component by heating in the presence of a catalyst comprising Sn, Zn, or its oxide, while distilling the resorcin out of the system. |
