Oxybis(diacyloxyboranes) as peroxygen activators

A process of removing soil and/or stains from fabrics by immersing the fabrics in a peroxygen bleach bath containing as a peroxygen activator an oxybis(diacyloxyborane) of the formula: <IMAGE> wherein the acyloxy is derived from a carboxylic acid selected from the class consisting of saturated aliphatic carboxylic acids of 1 to 18 carbon atoms and aromatic carboxylic acids of the benzene and naphthalene series. Also described are dry blend compositions containing the bleach bath components.
