<p>The boring bar holder for machine tools comprises a head adapted to receive the machine tool spindle or shaft and an internal bore for receiving slidably a boring bar. The head has an externally threaded ring screwed on a threaded part of the head to engage a shoulder of the bore to enable the slidable passage of the bar through the head. The head is also provided internally with several rings of a resilient material interleaved with metallic rings located between the threaded ring and one end of the head so that the bar can be resiliently held by the rings whatever its position within the bore. The holder enables bars to be held, in use, without vibrating while being adapted to take bars of varying lengths.</p> |
