According to the invention, the audible globe allows the optional transmission, as sound, of reference data about the geography and history of countries in the world, and is made up of two hollow hemispheres (m and n) with the geopolitical world map printed on their exterior. The hemispheres are pierced with holes (a) corresponding to the capitals of the countries next to which photodiodes (b) are fixed in the interior, that are connected to a decoding matrix (c), connected in turn to a microprocessor (d) which commands a sound reader (e) that transmits, in audio format, the information stored on a magnetic disk (k) through the use of a loudspeaker (f), making it possible, by blocking any of the holes (a), to hear the data requested about the selected country.
