1459557 Catches YOSHIDA KOGYO KK 16 Oct 1974 44819/74 Heading E2A A window sash fastener comprises a catch consisting of a rotary crescent 14 and a hook member 11 engageable with the crescent and comprising a mounting plate 17 with spaced apertures 19 and a washer for engaging each aperture comprising a head 22, an eccentric neck 23 for engaging in the aperture and a hole extending centrally through the head for a fastening element the position of the hook member for engagement with the rotary crescent being adjustable in accordance with the angular position of the washer relatively to the mounting plate. The washer has a reduced end portion 24 for engaging in an aperture in the window stile and the fastening element is a screw 20 which extends into a threaded hole in a backing plate 27. The rotary crescent is mounted on a mounting plate 12 and is turned by a lever 15 integral therewith. The neck 23 is of square cross section to fit a square aperture 19 in the mounting plate 17 for the hook and the apertures may have other polygonal shapes and the cross section of the neck then has a corresponding shape.
