<p>The engine has two circular cylinders (1C, 1M) with internal gearing. In each cylinder a geared planet wheel (4C, 4M) runs between the internal gearing of the cylinder and external gearing (5) on a central shaft. In one cylinder (1C) a fuel air mixture is compressed by the planet wheel in the annular space between the shaft gear and the cylinder against a pivoting toothed arc (3C). The compressed mixture is transferred through a valved port (6) into the other cylinder where it is ignited. The resulting expansion acts on the planet wheel to produce rotation with the aid of a further pivoted toothed arc (3M).</p> |
