1537439 Toothed gearing THYSSEN INDUSTRIE AG 13 Oct 1977 [18 Oct 1976] 42648/77 Heading F2Q A gear unit, for driving an extruder with two contra-rotating screws, comprises a gearing casing disposed between a thrust bearing casing 11 and a screw easing 10, the two latter casings 11, 10 being secured together by ties 8 extending through the gearing casing 3, the bearing casing 11 being further secured to a reduction gear casing 16, in which the gearing casing 3 houses two output shafts 1, 2 with splined ends 1a, lb for driving engagement through sleeves with the screws, the shafts 1, 2 carrying respective spur gears 1b, 2b which drivingly interengage through intermediate gears 4a, 4b, 5, one of the gearing shafts 1 having an extension 24 extending through the bearing housing 11 for driving engagement with the reduction gear and having a thrust bearing 20, and the other gearing output shaft 2 has an extension 22 mounted in a tandem thrust bearing 23. |
