Cores (1) of diverse forms are manufactured as a conglomerate from an infusible friable material, these cores are assembled by providing interstices in order to form a blank having dimensions greater than those of the object to be produced, the superfluous material is removed from this blank with a view to obtaining a form whose envelope has the dimensions of the object to be moulded; this form is placed in foundry sand, compressing and agglomerating the latter so that it assumes the form of the envelope and the object to be moulded; the molten metal material is poured into the mould and then, after solidification, the moulded object is taken out and the cores are removed. The object obtained by means of this method has the general form of the envelope given to the moulding sand and has a cellular texture, the outer cells being partially open and forming cavities. <IMAGE>
