Welded space frame for reinforced concrete structure - has four continuous parallel rod lengths held in jig for attachment of welded struts

In the building of reinforced concrete structures the reinforcing rods are first welded together to form a space frame. The space has four long parallel rods (85, 90) joined in pairs by transverse rods (86) with bent up ends (88). These pairs of rods are jointed together by rods (11) bent to a V shape and with the vertex of the V (91) welded to an upper rod (89). These space frames are formed in continuous lengths by a machine which is fed with several lines of continuous rod. One part of the machine cuts one of the lines of rod into short lengths and bends each length to a V shape (11). A group of jacks then holds the frame together whilst it is welded.
