PURPOSE:To control gear shift shock and any blowup by installing two gear shift processes, in either case of high engine driving force and low engine driving force, in an electronic control means, and selecting the gear shift process of the former when a slip factor is high but of the latter when it is low, respectively. CONSTITUTION:An electronic controller CPU inputs a signal of a throttle sensor 26 or the like, and it has a gear shift process (power-on) when engine driving force is high and another gear shift process (power-off) when it is low. Then, it calculates a slip factor of a torque converter from each detected value of an engine speed detecting means 23 and an input shaft speed detecting means 24, and when the slip factor is high, it selects the power-on shift process but the power-off shift process when it is low, respectively. Thus, a yet more accurate gear shift state is grasped, and thereby any blowup of the engine is controllable, while gear shift shock is thus abatable. |
