<p>Leads are stamped out in pairs opposite each other from a metal strip, with a narrow strip left between them. Then the leads are bent in the same direction, and the components inserted between them and fastened. Finally the leads are cut off from the remaining strip. A bend is made in the contact area of each lead, suitable for holding the edge of the surface of the component with contact metal layers on its two edges. Spacing between leads corresponds to a diagonal of the component clamped diagonally between the leads.</p> |
