<p>PURPOSE:To expand the control range of roll crown of work roll of a different circumferential speed rolling mill of which upper and lower back-up rolls are driven at different circumferential speeds. CONSTITUTION:When the upper and lower back-up rolls are driven at different circumferential speeds, difference is generated between tangential torques T applied to the upper and lower backup rolls 11 (12) and consequently the work roll 11 is bent in the horizontal direction. By utilizing this, the different circumferential speeds of the upper and lower back-up rolls are controlled and, by changing gap distribution between the rolls of the work rolls 11 (12) which are arranged in offset to the upper and lower back-up rolls, the adjustment range of roll crown is expanded.</p> |
