<p>The method of assembling panels can be used for ceilings, partitions etc., and permits connection in corners. Instead of using conventional channels back to back, plastics mouldings are used, shaped to grip the edges of the panels without additional fixings. These mouldings have U shaped parts, and the arms of the U grip the edges. The material used for these mouldings is a semi-rigid plastics material, without metal reinforcement. They may also provide heat insulation. They permit rapid demounting and re-use of the panels, giving a saving in time. Some members are of channel section, others double channels, at right angles, for coners. Others have lugs extending from them, with holes for screws, and may have an H section.</p> |
