In this roasting basket two clamping clips (2, 3) are adjustably and fixably arranged on a frame (1). Each of the clamping clips (2, 3) is provided with a row of forks (8) which are bent oppositely to one another and enclose a space for the food to be roasted. The two rows of forks are attached offset with respect to each other so that the free ends of the forks can engage in one another. The adjustable roasting basket is suitable particularly for use in roasting apparatuses having a rotatable drive. <IMAGE>
