SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR FACILITATING AND CONTROLLING WEB SITE DEVELOPMENT

A method and system are provided for facilitating and controlling web site development. The system comprises a controlled access development environment for facilitating web site development by multiple external vendors (10) and a master environment (200) for testing and controlling the development. The master environment comprises a development repository (150) for receiving initial external vendor content contributions, a staging environment for rigorous testing of the external vendor content contributions, and a production environment for publication of the external vendor content contributions to the publicly-accessible web site. To improve the testing process, the staging environment and production environment are provided with parallel architectures.
