PURPOSE: An exhaust manifold assembly of an exhaust system for a vehicle is provided to prevent a connecting pipe from being broken due to the heat of the combustion gas heated while passing through an auxiliary catalytic converter and to improve durability and life span. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust manifold assembly has a breakage-preventing unit consisting of corrugations(61,62) formed on an inner member(51) and an outer member(52) of a connecting pipe(5). When passing through an auxiliary catalytic converter, the combustion gas of the exhaust manifold rapidly increases in temperature by oxidation. By the high temperature heat of the combustion gas, an expansion force and a shrinkage force are applied to the inner and outer members of the connecting pipe. According to the corrugations, the expansion force and the shrinkage force are absorbed. Therefore, the breakage of the connecting pipe is avoided.
