Supporting wall for industrial building - with framework and wood fibreboard panel impregnated with binder

A supporting wall for an industrial building is mfd. by temporarily fixing a wood fibreboard panel on a framework, in a horizontal position with the framework facing upwards. Then the whole of the accessible surface of the assembly is coated to saturation point with a liquid binder e.g. polyester capable of hardening on drying and rendering its substrate waterproof. The binder reaches as far as points between the panel and the framework elements to form a monobloc assembly, after polymerisation, drying or hardening. Pref. the panel surface opposite that to which the binder is applied is covered with a waterproof coating. 12-16% of moisture remains in the panel, which suppresses expansion by drying or humidification and maintains the mechanical properties of the wall.
