PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device for a rear surface picking type pallet automated storage and retrieval warehouse having a simple configuration and capable of surely ensuring safety at a low cost. SOLUTION: A rear surface safety bar and a front face safety bar are provided on a rear surface and a front face of a storage shelf by interlocking them so that, when either of them is at a predetermined upper part position, the other is at an intermediate height position. The rear surface safety bar can be fixed at the predetermined upper part position by hooking it to a fixing hook, and a reflecting plate is attached to the front face safety bar. A photoelectric tube capable of reading the reflecting plate, if the front face safety bar is at the predetermined upper part position, when a stacker crane faces the storage shelf is provided in the stacker crane so that the stacker crane confirms that the front face safety bar is opened due to reading and recognizes that the front face safety bar is closed when it cannot read the reflecting plate. |
