A holder for filter bags used in the preparation of beverages has a tubular body which can be resiliently compressed to receive a bag pushed over the body, and subsequently allowed to expand and grip the bag. The holder is of one piece, e.g. moulded plastics, and the body has a slit (4) which enables it to be compressed against its inherent resilience. The portion (3) which grips the bag is cylindrical to increase the area of contact and improve gripping of the bag. The body may have a tapering bottom portion and may also have a reinforcing bead (9) to increase its resilience. A handle (2) and optional grips (7) may support the holder on a container. Cylindrical portion (3) could have barbs or ridges to improve gripping. In an alternative arrangement the slit is adjacent the handle and has one grip, a further support being opposite the handle. In one embodiment the handle and grips are in the form of fins. <IMAGE> |
