Send-receive arrangement for telecommunications connections can tune q from n pairs at different frequencies, where n is greater than one; or q is one or more and n is equal to or greater than q. The arrangement enables a dual frequency, speech exchange connection to be made with a selected other send-receive arrangement belonging to the same group of m groups of send-receive arangements, m being greater than one. The connection is made via n relay amplifiers of a relay station which can be tuned to the frequency of the pair in use. This pair is complementary to the n pairs. A calling arrangement is provided and a special code signal can be sent and received that is assigned to the send-received arrangement.
