PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy in positioning a discharging wire supporting part and a shielding case, etc., and to simplify an assembling operation by integrally forming the shielding case and the discharging wire supporting part with the housing of a process cartridge and performing conductive painting only on a part corresponding to the shielding case. CONSTITUTION:The shielding case 12 and the discharging wire supporting parts 8 and 8 in an electrostatically charging device 3 are integrally formed with the housing 1 of the process cartridge. That means, the part of the housing 1 which corresponds to the electrostatically charging device 3 is formed in almost shape of a box, the discharging wire supporting parts 8 and 8 are disposed at both ends of the box-like body in the longitudinal direction, and the surfaces of both sides in the longitudinal direction and the base function as the shielding case part 12. And the shielding case part 12 is coated with a conductive material. Thus, the accuracy in positioning the shielding case part 12 and the discharging wire supporting parts 8 and 8 can be improved and also the stages at the time of assembling can be reduced. |
