<p>PURPOSE:To protect a control circuit section against any adverse effect, if a drive circuit section is broken, by connecting the control circuit section to which a voltage for control signal is applied, to a substrate and at the same time, connecting the drive circuit section to which a voltage for drive is applied to a different substrate for each circuit. CONSTITUTION:Only a voltage for control signal is applied to a control circuit section 5 consisting of CPU, RAM and ROM from a power supply 15 which is connected to an independent substrate 6 from any other circuit section. Furthermore, a voltage for drive which drives a paper feed motor 2, in addition to the voltage for control signal, is applied to a paper feed motor drive circuit section 7a which is connected to an independent substrate 8a. A voltage for driving an approach/escape motor and a ribbon feed motor is applied to a motor drive circuit section 7b which is connected to an independent substrate 8b. In addition, voltage for pulse drive is applied to a thermal head drive circuit section 7c which supplies and drives pulse for thermal transfer which is connected to an independent substrate 8c. Thus a drive circuit 4 is connected to 10 substrates 8a, 8b, 8c excepting an interface.</p> |
