PURPOSE:To obtain equal or more effects through a few number of constitution elements by adding a comparing function to a sense amplifier, and performing comparing operation at the same time that data is sensed. CONSTITUTION:A comparator 10 with a function to sense the contents of a memory 1 connects a transistor pair 4a,4b connected in series between the output terminal 2b of the sense amplifier to which the data of positive logic and negative logic are inputted and the node 2c of the logic contrary to it. Then, the input terminal of the transistor pair 4a,4b is made to be the input terminal of the comparison data of the positive logic and the negative logic, and the middle of the transistors 4a,4b connected in series is made to be an output terminal 4c. Accordingly, sensing operation and the comparing operation are performed simultaneously. Thus, a few number of the elements of a comparator circuit is enough, and besides, its speed becomes fast as well. |
