<p>PURPOSE:To prolong the service life of an UV detecting sensor and to reduce the running cost as the subject air cleaner by supplying a power source to the UV detecting sensor only during the automatic operation actuated by the output of the sensor. CONSTITUTION:The UV detecting sensor 8 for detecting the UV contained in the flame of a cigar lighter, a match, etc., is provided, and an electric blower 13 is started by the output of the sensor 8. A manual mode capable of setting an optional rotating speed of the blower 13 and an automatic mode to be actuated by the output of the sensor are provided. The power source of the sensor 8 is impressed in a specified cycle as a pulse only in the case of the automatic mode. As a result, the service life of the UV detecting sensor is prolonged, and the running cost as an air cleaner is reduced.</p> |
