A flocculator having excellent agitation performance in a flocculation basin, and a flocculator which is simply constructed, and performs a power transmission operation very well by using a motor as a power source for rotating a plurality of paddle members at the same time are provided. A flocculator having rotary paddles comprises: a drive shaft(12) which has a first sprocket(15) connected to an upper portion of an outer peripheral surface thereof, and a sprocket assembly(21) including a plurality of unit sprockets(21a) idly connected to an outer peripheral surface of the drive shaft underneath the first sprocket and integrally connected to one another; a driven shaft(12a) which passes through a baffle wall of a flocculation basin in parallel to the drive shaft, and is installed within the flocculation basin; a second sprocket(14) fixed to an upper portion of an outer peripheral surface of the driven shaft to receive a rotary power through a chain(13) connected to the first sprocket fixed to the drive shaft; a fourth sprocket(22) fixed and connected to the sprocket assembly to receive a rotary power through a chain(24) connected to a third sprocket(23) fixed to a lower portion of an outer peripheral surface of the driven shaft; and respective paddle sprockets(19) which are fixed to rotary shafts(17a) of respective paddles(17) rotatably connected to respective supporting members(16), and receive a rotary power by chains(20) connected to the unit sprockets.
