Exhaust discharge equipment for tested vehicle - has mouthpiece suspended from rollers in profiled section of tubular passage

Equipment discharges exhaust gases from a motor vehicle to be tested, as this travels with engine running through a chamber. It has an oblong tubular passage above the chamber floor and clear of it and following the path of the vehicle, and which is connected to an exhauster fan. In the underside of the passage is an oblong slot in which a moving mouthpiece is supported. On the top panel (3) of the passage is fitted a protruding profiled section (6) the mouthpiece being suspended from a set of guide rollers (27) working in this section. The slot is formed by two parallel walls (9) on the passage bottom panel (8), extended by two converging wall sections (10). The mouthpiece opening lies between these converging wall sections.
