A strip of flexible plastic (10) which forms a loop for holding electric cables has a small block (20) formed at one end with a transverse slot (18) to receive the other end of the strip when it has been placed around the cables. The under-surfaces of the strip (10) have serrations (13) which engage serrations on a flexible tongue (21) which fits between two supporting columns (11). A block (20) has reinforcing ribs on the wall of the slot opposite to the flexible tongue (21). Reinforcing ribs are provided on the supporting columns (11).
