The mixer consists of a revolving worm in a stationary housing. The mixing head of the worm has bores which distribute the material to different radial positions. The revolving relative motion superimposes an azimuthal distribution in thin layers. This mixer combines a small space requirement with a smooth flow pattern without dead corners and with a uniform mass temp throughout. The rise of the mean mass temp is kept to a min.
