A display controller, a display control method, a display control program, and a mobile terminal are provided to display a thumbnail image of image information related to character information automatically when the character information is displayed to use image information effectively which is stored in a memory. A display controller includes a character display unit, a keyword detector, an image information detector, and a thumbnail image display unit. The character display unit displays character information on a display unit(5). The keyword detector detects a predetermined keyword from the displayed character information. The image information detector detects image information to which additional information corresponding to the detected keyword has been added from image information stored in a memory(13). The thumbnail image display unit displays a thumbnail image of the image information detected by the image information detector on the display unit.
