FIELD: medicine, pharmaceutics. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, specifically to pharmacology and concerns medical products of neurotropic- neuroregulating activity. It is shown, that N- carbamoyl-methyl-4-phenyl-2- pyrrolidone (carphedone, phenothropyl, previously known as nootropic, hypotensive and antiischemic product) is characterised by universal neurotropic- neuroregulating activity, provides complex multicomponent -regulating affect on functional condition of the central nervous system (CNS).
