The invention relates to a piece of equipment that is used to perform a method for measuring the quantity of a supercritical fluid or gas absorbed by a sample, including a distributor (2) and a cell (4) for the sample, which can be communicated with one another. The inventive method comprises the following steps: the free volume of the sample cell (4) is calibrated by determining a mass balance for a calibration gas in the distributor/cell unit, the effective temperature of the sample cell is calculated by determining a mass balance for the calibration gas in the distributor/cell unit, and the quantity of supercritical fluid or gas sorbed by the sample is calculated by determining a mass balance for the supercritical fluid or gas in the distributor/cell unit, using a real gas equation in each of said steps in order to define the state of the supercritical fluid or gas. |
