PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doorway structure for a vehicle allowing a passenger to smoothly ascend and descend a step, continuously disposing a handrail from a doorway to a passage in a vehicle cabin, having a simple structure and excellent appearance, and reducing weight. SOLUTION: The doorway structure for the vehicle comprises the doorway 14 provided on a front side part of the vehicle, a step passage connecting with the doorway 14 and a passage 22 in a vehicle cabin provided in a fore-and-aft direction of the vehicle, a wall body disposed along a vehicle rear side end edge of the step passage, a frame 32 supporting a wall body, and a grip bar 38 disposed along the wall body and mounted on the frame 32 at least at one end.
