The apparatus is for spreading mastic on a corner formed by a pair of outside surfaces intersecting at right-angles. A spreading head (12) is detachably mounted on a wedge-shaped mastic container (24). A pivoted flap (30) in the container (24) acts as a piston, forcing material through the opening (26) into the hollow spreading head (12). The mastic emerges through an opening (42) shaped to fit the 90 deg. corner. The upper edge of the opening (42) is formed by a plate (16) with indentations (54) in its edge for screeding. The lower end of the mastic container has a bracket (64) with rollers (60) to maintain a constant clearance from the wall surfaces.
