Helical supports (14) are arranged in a mount (15). Biaxial spirals (18) which are connected to one another to form an endless spiral are fastened to the said helical supports (14). Pallets (16) designed as workpiece reception devices are suspended on the said endless spiral. Below the mount (15), there is a drive (17) which imparts movement to the endless spiral. The longitudinal support (13) of the mount (15) is supported by means of threaded spindles using threaded nuts (2, 10) on a movable undercarriage (1, 6, 9). As a result of this, the required operating height can be precisely set. The workpiece store offers maximum storage capacity while taking up a minimum amount of space and has one access position on each longitudinal side, which position can be adapted to any processing machine owing to the continuous vertical adjustability of the biaxial spiral (18). <IMAGE>
