Mfr. of flat structures or mouldings comprises powder-coating a (auxiliary) substrate with fusible thermoplastics contg. a filler whose particle size is similar to that of the matrix. The compsn. is heated to m.p. of the matrix and the resulting coated structure is smoothed before cooling and opt. embossed. After cooling it may be stripped off the auxiliary substrate. Relatively great proportions of filler may be incorporated into the compsn. without affecting the sintering of the coating and impairing the desirable use characteristics of the prod. |
