<p>Adhesive compositions contg. free NCO grps. made by (a) reacting linear polyesters and/or polyethers contg. 2 free OH grps., with less than the stoichiometric amt. of a low mol. diisocyanate, and (b) reacting the product with an excess of a low mol. triisocyanate. Esp. for the prodn. of laminates from paper, films of polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, vinyl chloride/vinyl acetate copolymers, aluminum foil, etc. Sufficient water must be present to cause cross linking of the resin; with permeable films such as paper, atmospheric moisture is usually sufficient.</p> |
