PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plant growing unit that can accelerate the growth of a plant.SOLUTION: A plant growing unit 1 includes: a plant installation member 10 which has a holding part having a side part which is shaped so as to surround at least a portion of a plant and an opening part which is opened to one end portion of the side part and projects a stem of the plant, and changes the orientation of the opening upward or downward; an illumination device 20 which is installed on the lower side of the plant installation member and applies light toward the plant installation member; and a housing which has a storage chamber 2I which accommodates the plant installation member and the illumination device, partitions the storage chamber and outside.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
