<p>Apparatus for the automatic adjustment of the resonant frequency of magnetic mechanical resonators, in which conveyor means are provided to feed a plurality of resonators to a measurement and processing station in which a mechanical drive means excites an inserted resonator into oscillation and the decaying vibrations are detected and their frequency compared with a predetermined frequency or frequencies to establish the degree of adjustment required to effect resonance within a selected range, material then being removed to adjust the resonant frequency by laser beam bombardment or sand-blast-ing in successive steps followed by further measurements, and the final measurement being used to record an identifying control signal which is used to determine at which one of a plurality of subsequent ejection stations that particular resonator is to be ejected.</p> |
