The double-glazed window has a dormat frame which fixes to the masonry forming the window opening, and has a partially mobile frame which affixes to the dormat frame by means of a longitudinal pivot formation (5). The design provides for partial mobility of the glazed leaf and utilises sections of a partic. simple form. The pivot (5) is of circular cross-section, may be provided continuously along a sill member, and aligns parallel to the glazing (19, 20) plane. The mobile section fits between the two glass panes (19, 20), and may locate a bead projecting from a deformable elastic seal (22). The static section may have an approximate 'U' shape with the web (3) cranked to form feet (2) at each extremity. The inner flange (1) aligns in the window plane, terminates in the pivot (5), and is diagonally braced back to the web (3). The outer flange (6) inclines slightly outward, is nominally curved and has a channel locating a "brush" seal (7). The mobile section may be 'L' shaped with circular segmental end (11) to the bar (10) and a 'U' shaped channel in the base of the leg (8).
|
