The multiple container is to hold human or animal tissue samples for fixing, staining or potting for optical or electron microscopic examination has a tight lid(1) which is attached to a hinge(2) to the upper part(3) of a container. The upper part of the container has a number of sample chambers(5) which have a porous closure disc(4) at the base. The lower part of the container has draim converters(8) which lead to a drain passage(9) controlled by a stop cock (10). The two parts of the container are held together with screws and thus grip the porous discs to hold them in place.
