<p>The holder, for a piezoelectric quartz crystal resonator, has two springy arms connecting the crystal to two contact pins protruding through the base. The arms act both as contacts for the crystal and as supports. The arms consist of flat springs twisted about their axes by 180 deg. or 90 deg. The twists in the arms increase their rigidity in the direction of vibration (C) between the arms and lower their rigidity in an orthogonal direction (B).</p> |
