1. A method for establishing a communication session between a first user and a second user, the method comprising:
providing a first database configured to enable a first user to store a plurality of images at a communication device, each image representing a respective user; providing a second database configured to enable a first user to store a plurality of entries at a remote server, wherein each of the plurality of entries represents a user and is associated with a plurality of communication addresses stored at said second database, and wherein the plurality of communication addresses associated with an entry, are associated with different communication applications, selecting, by the first user, from among the plurality of images stored at the first database, an image representing the second user, transmitting by the first user communication device to the remote server a request to establish a communication session between a first user and a second user, wherein said request comprises information relating to the second user whose image had been selected, receiving, at the remote server, the request transmitted from the first user's communication device, selecting by the remote server, a communication address from among the plurality of communication addresses associated with the second user, wherein the selected communication address is associated with a communication application at which the second user is currently active, for establishing the communication session between the first user and the second user wherein said communication application resides at a server different from said remote server; and using the selected communication address for establishing the requested communication session between the first user and the second user. |
