PURPOSE:To make possible monitoring of light signals and facilitate discrimination when any trouble occurs in the entire tramsmission system by providing plural exposed regions on the main face of a semiconductor where a PN junction to become a light emitting region is formed and letting a light signal transmitting fiber and a light monitoring fiber face said regions respectively. |
