The detachable headrest (25) is mounted on a U-profile main support frame which is clipped over the seat back. The front of the frame has a metal insert frame (13) spaced wide enough to allow the seat occupant a comfortable seat. The frame is covered with a broad padding for added comfort. The embedded frame (13) is near the edge of the seat back, where it receives max. support from the seat back frame. When not required the headrest is easily removed.
